Be realistic about the first fortnight. The appliance sits where your tongue lives, so speech feels different at first and the tongue often gets sore before it toughens up. Nearly everyone adapts, and most stop noticing it entirely, but the adjustment is real and worth planning around if you speak for a living.

Who Tends To Be a Good Candidate
Adults who want treatment nobody sees, patients who know their own wear-time discipline would let aligners down, and people whose work makes visible brackets awkward. Extensive crowns or bridgework on the tongue side, or a bite needing heavy correction, can rule it out.
Any advantage disappears if the appliance is the wrong tool for the case. That is what the examination determines.
Expect the assessment to cover more than the front teeth. The appliance is bonded to the tongue side of every tooth in the arch, so the condition of those surfaces matters: heavy restorations, worn enamel or unusually short clinical crowns all affect whether brackets will hold reliably for the length of treatment.
It is also worth asking about the finish before you start. Behind-the-teeth appliances are capable of an excellent result, but the detailing at the end of treatment is harder to see and harder to reach than with front-facing brackets, which is one reason case selection matters more here than with conventional braces.
